My client a forensic hospital based in North Yorkshire, is currently looking for an experienced Occupational therapist to lead the hospital team.

You will directly report to the clinical director, be responsible to independently manage a balanced caseload of specific occupational therapy work and any specialist interventions, able to provide occupation-focused occupational therapy to patients/ service users with complex mental health needs.

You will take the role of the most senior occupational therapy practitioner in the hospital liaise with senior management in relation to occupational therapy provision.

Also you will be responsible to implement and develop all OT service policies and to make decisions in terms of day-to-day management of occupational therapy service provision in collaboration and as agreed with the Clinical Director.

You will hold a degree or diploma in occupational therapy and HPC registered. You must have minimum of 5 years post qualification experience in a clinical mental health setting /or demonstrable experience highly related to the clinical field. Must have previous experience of working with people with complex mental health problems/personality disorder/learning disability.

A post qualification education in forensic mental health and experience working in a forensic setting is desirable.
